Friends

Friends

You come alone and go alone without having a clue as to where you came from and where you are headed. But during this stay for identity, struggle, desire, possession and what-not, we need an ‘entity’ called friends. Few of us would have celebrated friendship day yesterday (5th August). It’s great to be with friends. We will definitely earn lot of things in this lifetime, but make sure in this tenure you have earned yourself a true friend. A friend whom you call anytime, speak anything, count-on no matter what the situation is, who understands you when you have not understood yourself…

Cheers to those friends in your life…because your bank balance will not remember you when you are gone…

Do we need a friendship day to recognize that important asset in your life?

I dont think you actually need a designated day to celebrate friendship... but on the other hand,
i dont think its "a bloody capitalist way of celebrating friendship" either.. those words seem to come from one of the wanabe NGO activists who will oppose just about anything that they have a chance to oppose... Whats the difference between them and the Shiv Sena activist who protest the 14th of Feb every year in Pune and Bombay

I think people ought to understand friendship. According to me it’s not about celebrating a day with all the excitement one could endear, but its about standing with the one even when there is no joy and celebrations around. It’s not about friendship bands on the wrists but about your hands around the one when the need be.

We might not need a frisndship day to recognise the importance of friends, but it feels nice to have a designated day to celebrate that special bond, does it not ?
